Turcotte comes back to Canada with gold

The head coach of the Nipissing Lakers Women’s hockey team is smiling these days. 

That’s because Darren Turcotte was part of the Team Canada coaching staff that was victorious in the Nations Cup recently in Germany.

The team won in overtime 4-3 over Finland in the gold medal game. 

The tournament features the national women’s development team and national clubs from 5 other countries including Finland, Germany, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
