Winter DrivingA scary incident on the road in Temagami has closed Highway 11 in that area after a three vehicle collision involving an OPP cruiser.

Police say just before 10am this morning a northbound Tractor Trailer crossed the centre line when the driver lost control.

Another southbound driver avoided the tractor trailer by crossing the centre line, but struck a northbound OPP crusier head on. The driver of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries at the scene while the officer in the cruiser was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

The officer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer sustained no injuries. Highway 11 has been closed in both directions near Temagami with no estimated duration time.
