Chamber logoThe President of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce says City Council achieved a number of goals in their 2016 budget.

Jake Lacourse says the Chamber is pleased they accomplished their goal of keeping the tax levy increase at 1.5 per cent.

As well, he says there was a big focus on putting money towards projects which will help the city grow.

Lacourse
says when there is a rebound in the economy there will be builders looking for land that is ready for development.

He says this budget is taking steps to make land ready for that process.

He adds there are several industries with a lot of job openings across the province.

Lacourse says if you go to the North Bay and District Ontario Jobs Facebook page you will see lots of job postings.
