AnishinabekAnishinabek Nation has launched their say “Yes to the AES Campaign.”

The focus of the campaign is to educate the Anishnabek citizens about the proposed Anishnabek Nation Education Agreement with Canada and new fiscal arrangements for education.

Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee says in a release “We are at a time when we must move forward to take charge of the education of our children. Our education system is designed for success on our terms and under our jurisdiction.”

There are currently 30 of the 39 communities on board to run a ratification vote – and the others have the option to join in at a later date.
