Baylor teamYouth out-migration isn’t just a problem facing North Bay, and Mayor Al McDonald heard that firsthand this past weekend.

He and members of the Invest North Bay group were in Waco, Texas to talk business with municipal leaders there.

He says they have wonderful ideas and initiatives to retain youth, and he hopes to implement some of those strategies in North Bay. Waco is also the home of Baylor University where MBA students are currently working on the second phase of the Baylor Community Survey to implement a growth strategy for North Bay.

McDonald says he talked to people involved with the project during the trip, and they are excited for the results.

McDonald says between discussing the project and meeting with municipal leaders it was the best business trip he has ever attended.
