An ALS Fundraiser in April

You can take a look into North Bay’s past while helping families who are affected by ALS.

On April 4th the “Old Bay” Fundraiser will take place at the Voyager Inn.

Brigitte Labby is the northeast Regional Manager for ALS Canada, and she says the event is an historical slide show with photos of North Bay.

She says the funds raised from the event go to ALS Canada. Labby says they hope the community can help support this cause.

She says “ALS is a terrible disease which affects one’s ability to walk, talk and eat. Sadly they pass away quite quickly after being diagnosed, anywhere from 2 to 5 years.”

Labby says there is no cure or treatment for ALS.
