lhin logoThe blueprint on health care in Northeastern Ontario for the next 3 years has been released by the Northeast Local Health Integration Network.

It’s called the Integrated Health Service Plan.

Director of Communications and Community Engagement for the LHIN Cynthia Stables says the plan covers three major areas starting with improving access to care and wait times.

The second area is enhancing the coordination of care.

Stables says the final one is strengthening the sustainability of the system so it is here for now and into the future.

The plan looks at specific areas as well including primary care, specialty care, home and community care, mental health and addictions, rehabilitation services, palliative care, acute care and long term care.

Stables says you can view the plan online at www.nelhin.on.ca or they will mail you a copy too.
