Today Marks the Beginning of 211 Awareness Week

This week is dedicated to getting the word out about a service offered in Nipissing and around Canada.

Ciara Deschamps is the Community Coordinator at United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts and she says this service is still relatively new to the area, being brought in just last year.

She says 2-1-1 is a government help line.

The service is confidential, free, open 24/7, is offered in over 150 languages and someone will be waiting on the other side to help.
