GymtrixBoth the Provincial Qualifier and the Muskoka Classic Invitational took place last weekend.

And both events saw medals given to local gymnasts.

Rebecca Hubley took home the bronze during the Floor Exercise at the second Provincial Qualifier.

Emily Mah won silver on the Floor Exercise and also performed on the Uneven Bars where she won a bronze.

Also, Tihana Draves won gold on the Uneven Bars.

The final Provincial Qualifier will take place in Ottawa at the end of the month.

After the top 32 athletes for each division have been decided on, those gymnasts will move on to the Provincial Championships in Mississauga.

The Muskoka Classic Invitational saw North Bay Gymtrix athletes perform and bring home medals.

Four medals for Victoria Desfosses and the top overall honors. She earned gold on the Balance Beam, Vault, and Floor Exercises as well as silver in the Uneven Bars.

Tessa Tripodi earned herself top honors on the Balance Beam, a silver on the Floor Exercise, and 2 bronze medals for Uneven Bars and Overall.

Kaylee Tench walked away with a gold in Balance Beam, silver in Vault and 2 bronze on the Uneven Bars and Overall.

And finally Maeve Blake was the silver medalist on Vault, and bronze on the Balance Beam.

These girls will be heading to Birchmount at the end of March to participate in the Friendship Classic.
