(RESCHEDULED) "Relay Rally" providing information about the 2016 Relay For Life

This years Relay for Life takes place June 10th and the Honorary Survivor is Rhiannon Buffet.

She was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 25 in 2008.

Buffet says she was officially discharged last summer and will be leading the survivors lap at this years Relay.

She says going through this experience makes her appreciate everything in her life.

There will be a relay rally next Wednesday (March 2nd) at the Elks Lodge at 7 pm where you can learn what the relay is all about.

The event was planned for tonight, but the weather warning led officials to reschedule the rally.

In 2015, 331 communities held Relay For Life events raising $34-million “to advance cancer research and support Canadians living with cancer.”
