anne_picChatelaine has a new feature highlighting the “Real Life Stories” of women experiencing different disorders and this month’s issue includes a Sturgeon Falls woman’s story.

Five years ago at the age of 41, Anne Gingras discovered she’s on the Autism spectrum.

She works with students with Autism at Ecole Secondaire Algonquin.

She noticed she shared experiences with them and wondered if she too was on spectrum.

Gingras says she did some testing and it “explains why I’ve seen life differently, all my life.”

She says the Chatelaine feature is all about raising awareness and hopes her story helps and inspires others.

Her story can be found online at Chatelaine or Texture by Next Issue.
