battalion280x1602It’s the second final week of the regular season for the North Bay Battalion and it’s the third of five straight road games tonight (Thursday) for the Troops.

They are in Peterborough visiting the Petes.

Head Coach Stan Butler says the travel schedule has been tough the last two weeks, with a couple games south of the border, but that shouldn’t be much of an issue this weekend.

After tonight’s game in Peterborough, the Battalion visit Oshawa and Niagara.

Butler says the biggest thing is just to play all four lines and if they do that they will be fine.

Meantime, he says he’s not just relying on his older players to set the momentum going into the post-season.

Butler says “we need some of our young guys to step up and play well; depth in playoffs is what creates success.”

North Bay is five points up on the Niagara IceDogs for third in the conference.

Catch tonight’s game on Country 600 CKAT, broadcast time is 6:35 pm.
