nndsbA community open house is coming up later this month involving the Near North Board’s proposed parkland changes to a 1.2 acre portion of the 17 acre John Kennedy Memorial Park.

The Board and City are looking to see if the changes would be considered a net-benefit for the neighbourhood, the school and the community.

The board previously said the idea is to expand park uses to include an open green play space and development of a community-accessible playground.

The Open House is scheduled for March 23 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Bethel Gospel Chapel on Tackaberry Drive.
