Heart and StrokeDetails have been announced about this years Big Bike, a fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Area Co-ordinator Julia Tignanelli says this years event will be from May 24th-27th and downtown will be the focus.

She says the rides go from 9:30am to 7pm for those days from the Discovery North Bay Museum Square. She says they have 45 teams already and they look for about 60 teams so space to take part in the event is beginning to get filled up.

Tignanelli says this event includes 30 members on each team and that’s a great way of working towards a common goal of raising funds for a deserving charity.

Tignanelli says the tandem bike they use seats 30 and there are prizes too for having the best spirit.

Organizers are looking to raise $88,000 locally from this event and $8,300,000 nationally.
