Water safety concerns

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has issued a watershed conditions statement advising for water safety.

The statement says the ministry is monitoring watershed conditions and further updates will be issued as appropriate.

The water safety category indicates that high flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected.

The statement is in effect until Thursday night at midnight.
