art on mainSome of the finest student art in the area is on display at Art on Main for the next few weeks.

Nipissing’s University’s Fine Arts Juried Student exhibition is going on until April 9th. 

There’s painting, works of scultpture, photography and mixed media on display.

The opening reception will be Friday at 7 at Art on Main. This year’s jurors are local artists Sarah Carlin-Bell and Anthony Tremblay.

Meantime, The Dead City Studio is presenting Beauty Out of Darkness where you’ll  see local artists art work and art photography as well.

The display can be viewed from 3-8 on Saturday.

Donations are being accepted for Wounded Warriors Canada an organization that supports veterans who have either been wounded in the line of duty or have returned home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. 

Also on hand will be local auther Anny Omous.

She’ll be on hand to talk about her new book the Guild part of a trilogy she’s undertaken.
