North Bay PoliceNorth Bay Police are on the lookout for an unknown suspect following a reported assault with a weapon incident that took place Wednesday night around 10:45 pm at Fisher and Chippewa. 

Police say a male pedestrian reports he was attacked by an unknown person who struck him from behind with an unknown object.

The attacker is said to fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim  sustained non life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect is described as male, 6-2, dressed in dark clothing, wearing a black hoodie and a black and white mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Bay Police or Crimestoppers

Meantime, A 46 year old North Bay male is facing several charges following a fight that took place early Friday  on Douglas Street.

Richard Leroux has been charged with break and enter with intent, assault and assault with a weapon.

Police say a resident’s home was broken into by a neighbor and then hit. 

Shortly later, now outside a hammer was raised towards the victim who ran away and wasn’t injured.

Police arrived soon after and an arrest was made.
