The North Bay Battalion defeated the Barrie Colts 3-2 in a shootout on Sunday afternoon.

Battalion rookie Cam Dineen scored the game winner in the shootout.

It gives the Troops a third straight win and after the game, Dineen said even though it doesn’t affect the standings it was still a big win.

He says it’s important to head into the playoffs on a role and they’ve now won three straight.

Mat Santos scored twice in his final OHL regular season game, while Jake Smith, also an overage player, got the win in net, in his final start.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says he was happy for his older guys to get a win in their final regular season game in front of the home fans.

The Battalion now turn their attention to the post-season in which they will play the Peterborough Petes in a best of 7 beginning on Friday at Memorial Gardens.
