Hargrave first playoff goal gives Troops first playoff win of 2015/16

North Bay Native Brett Hargrave got his first career playoff goal to give the Battalion a 2-1 lead in the third against the Peterborough Petes.

The lead held up and the Troops opened their Eastern Conference Quarter Final Series with a win for the third straight year.

Hargrave says he was ready to go for Game One.

Captain Mike Amadio tied the game in the first for North Bay after the Petes scored the opening goal.

Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler says they are happy with the win but the series is far from over.

Battalion goaltender Jake Smith gave up a goal on the first shot from the Petes, then proceeded to shut them out making 20 saves in the win.

The Battalion and the Petes resume their series on Sunday afternoon.
