Series tied at One as Petes top Troops 5-3

The series is all-tied at one game apiece as the Peterborough Petes beat the North Bay Battalion 5-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarter Finals was a hard hitting affair that saw the teams combined for 11 infractions with 43 penalty minutes handed out. Head Coach Stan Butler says the Battalion will use it as a learning lesson.

The Battalion got goals from Maurizio Colella, Mike Amadio and Steve Harland.

Butler says the Battalion didn’t create enough chances for themselves.

Jake Smith made 16 saves on 21 shots on net.
