Tiered 911 service being worked on in North Bay

The city is still looking at developing a tiered 911 system. 

A sub committee was adopted by North Bay City Council this week.

Councillor George Maroosis says the idea is to have 911 calls go in and out of one centre. 

He says they want to improve the service  and he says city police, North Bay Fire and Ambulance  have been asked to sit on the sub committee and now one more agency has also been asked to sit in and that is the OPP. 

Maroosis says council will receive a report from the sub committee.

He says the software needs to be improved as well.
