North Bay Regional Science FairThe 54th annual North Bay Regional Science Fair goes today (Wednesday) at Nipissing University.

The public is welcome to attend.

Local students are looking to qualify for the national science fair.

Chair David Jackowski says there’s a combination of high school and elementary school students presenting their projects.

He says they look for students to ask good questions and research them thoroughly, then present their conclusions to the judges.

There are five categories of projects including Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer and Math Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Physical Sciences.

The Canada-wide Science Fair is Montreal May 15th to 20th.
