Officials with the North Bay Regional Science Fair say the 54th annual event yesterday (Wednesday) was a success.

Over 150 students took part and there were over 50 awards handed out.

Three projects are heading to the Canada-wide science fair in Montreal next month.

They include Gabrielle Russo of St. Luke’s Catholic Elementary School for her project “Stripping Down the Sugars”, Ashleigh Brady and Reagan Lawton of Widdifield for their project “Company in the Shower” and Riley Geisler and Caleb Charette of West Ferris Secondary for their project “Synthetic 3D Printed Heart” .

Chair David Jackowski says “It is very exciting to see the level of enthusiasm, and quality of projects participating in the Science Fair. The NBRSF Committee wish all these brilliant students continued success with their scientific endeavours.”
