ndpIt’s been an interesting week for the NDP.

Leader Tom Mulcair didn’t get the required 70 per cent 7 days ago to pass his leadership review and on Wednesday he said he would stay on as leader until a successor is chosen.

The federal candidate for the party in the recent federal election Kathleen Jodouin says the membership had the right to be heard and they voted for change. She says she looks forward to what’s going to happen.

Jodouin says the party is waiting to hear how the leadership race will work in terms of the timelines and there could be candidates from inside and outside the caucus considering the results of the last federal election.

She says the Northern Council meeting will be in North Bay and she’ll be watching closely as to who will be here.
