Head of HR to fill CAO role until permanent replacement is found

The city may not have a replacement CAO until after June 3rd, but that is the day current CAO Jerry Knox will retire.

With that in mind Mayor Al McDonald says they have appointed Lea Janisse as the interim beginning on June 4th. She is the head of HR at City Hall and Janisse did not apply so she cannot fill that position permanently.

McDonald says Janisse will also only become the interim if they don’t find the absolute right candidate at that point.

He says they have a short list of 25 candidates down from over 100 initial applicants.
