Kyle Wood called up to the AHL

Defenceman Kyle Wood is now playing in the American Hockey League.

After the Battalion season ended last week, the Arizona Coyotes announced on the weekend that Wood was called up to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, and played in two games.

Wood scored 8 goals and 31 assists in 49 games for the North Bay Battalion this past season.

He was acquired by the Coyotes in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche on February 29.

Wood was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the third round (84th overall) in the 2014 Entry Draft.
