Curling 1We told you in the news about North Bay putting in a bid to host the 2018 World Womens Curling Championship.

Mark Brown is president of the North Bay Granite Curling Club which will play a major role in helping put on the event.

He says if their bid is successful it’ll be a dream come true for the club. Brown says it’s a chance for the club to show they can put on a first class event and it’s a chance to see some top flight international curling.

Brown says there will be 22 draw times over the 9 days.

He says they will need 400 volunteers.

Brown says the seating won’t change from what it is for a Battalion game but the glass will come down.
