Water main flushing program begins this week

City officials say the 2016 Uni Directional flushing of the water distribution system starts this week.

The program begins in the Birchaven area with residents advised that they may experience low water pressure or cloudy water while the flushing is ongoing in their area.

Once the flushing stops, officials say the water pressure will go back to normal and the cloudy water will dissipate.
