road openNow that the snow is pretty much gone, other street clearing vehicles will soon be on city streets.

Chair of Engineering and Public Works Tanya Vrebosch says they will be sending the street sweeper’s out shortly.

She says that is the first process before they start painting the lines on the road.

Meantime, Vrebosch says asphalt resurfacing will likely start after the May long weekend.

As well, City Council approved just under $300,000 to go towards two different Engineering and Works Projects.

Vrebosch says $186,000 will be spent to install a water main along Queen Street under Chippewa Creek.

The other $100,000 is for the replacement of a section of the storm sewer pipe which crosses Silver Birches School property.
