North Bay Police say 8 people were charged on the weekend.

The offenses include assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, theft under 5 Thousand Dollars, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, impaired driving, trafficking in Cocaine, possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police say they received 193 calls for service.

A 33 year old North Bay man is facing several charges following a domestic incident late Sunday night.

Police say the charges include three counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of uttering threats.

Police say the assaults occurred in November of 2013, on separate occasions in March of 2014 and again last month and Sunday.

Police say in one of the assaults a household object was used.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

The victim suffered non life threatening injuries in these assaults.

A 56 year city man is facing several charges following a traffic complaint.

Police say on Friday, a person was driving westbound on McIntyre Street West when the motorist overtook a 2nd vehicle.

That vehicle was slowing down to turn and the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the first vehicle did stop but left before police arrived.

He’s been charged with impaired driving, driving with more than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

A 37 year old city male is facing charges following an investigation.

Police say Kevin Reddy has been charged with trafficking in Cocaine, possessing Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possessing property obtained by crime.

Police say earlier this month police observed a hand to hand drug transaction on McLeod and Kehoe.

A 29 year old woman was arrested then and she was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On Friday, Reddy was located and in addition to the charges police seized 2.7 grams of Cocaine and 430 Dollars of Canadian currency.
