A provincial award for a project Greening Nipissing is involved with.

The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change ministers award for environmental excellence goes to Rain Community Solutions a program delivered in this area by Greening Nipissing.

The local organization has delivered 3 rain gardens and a depave garden which together divert 2880 metres of stormwater every year.
