City Hall (some snow)

$4-million in road resurfacing lined up for this summer in North Bay gets started tomorrow (Thursday).

That’s the word from Mayor Al McDonald, who says it’s a significant investment.

He points out they’ve repaved about 25 per cent of their roads in the past 10 years.

Meantime, there is a concern about the cost of asphalt this year. It’s costing the city 13 percent more than last year.

McDonald says they’re aren’t sure why considering the price of oil is down.

Also of note, the Mayor is in Sudbury today meeting with the Federal Minister for FedNor, regarding economic development in Northern Ontario.

He says they’re giving their input on what they believe is important for job growth and population growth in the north.
