Hundreds of people came out to show their support on Armed Forces Day in North Bay.

The event got started with a parade of military personnel from City Hall to the Waterfront, where the Skyhawks Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team (video above) and a CF-18 demonstration took to the skies.

On the ground there were military static displays.

Ontario Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell was here for the event too.

She will also be the reviewing officer for the 73rd Annual Ceremonial Review of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Brilliant tonight at Fort Chippewa Barracks.

The review marks the end of the cadet’s training year.
