There’s one active forest fire in the North Bay District.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says, as of late Sunday afternoon, it’s 1.2 hectares in size and is under control.

The fire is southeast of Latchford near the Quebec border.

It’s the twelfth forest fire of the season in the district.

The forest fire hazard rating is listed as moderate in the North Bay area.
