Primary care planning was the focus of a recent meeting involving the Northeast Local Health Integration Network and the region’s six Nurse-Practitioner Led Clinics, including the one in North Bay.

One proposal that’s being looked at would create LHIN Sub Regions.

Other presentations touched on the need for new Health Links to cover parts of the region and the creation of smaller primary planning groups to ensure residents can access nurse practitioners or family physicians.

The group talked about ways put patients first and forge stronger links between primary and home care.
