A new fire chief has been appointed in Callander.

Todd Daley is the new chief.

Officials say he has been a dedicated member of the Callander Volunteer Fire Department for over a decade as both a Volunteer Fire Fighter and Training Officer.

He has previously worked with the Ministry of the Attorney General and the North Bay Police Services.

Callander Council says Daley brings valuable leadership and management skills to his new role as Fire Chief.

“We are excited that Mr. Daley will be taking on this valuable and rewarding role with the Municipality. His years of experience with the Callander Fire Department and respect and admiration for our
Volunteer Fire Firefighters will only serve to strengthen our already exemplary Fire Department”, said Mike Purcell, Chief Administrative Officer.
