City police responded to 223 calls for service on the weekend with 15 people arrested.

They face a variety of charges including assault with a weapon, domestic assault, mischief, robbery, impaired and more.

 

In one case, city police filed charges after a complaint about threats allegedly made earlier this month.

Police say two men were threatened by a man who was previously unknown to them.

He later allegedly brandished a shovel towards them.

A 23 year old city man is charged with uttering threats and assault with a weapon.

 

An incident involving an ice pick has led to a 19 year old city man being charged with assault with a weapon.

City police say around 4 am yesterday (Sunday), a man was struck with an ice pick by a man who is known to him.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accused later turned himself in at police headquarters.

 

A 23 year old North Bay man has been charged with domestic assault and mischief after an incident early Saturday morning.

Police were called after a concerned resident heard yelling from a unit in a North Bay apartment building.

It’s alleged a man assaulted his partner in their shared apartment and caused damage to the unit.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

 

North Bay Police report a young male is facing charges of robbery and uttering threats after an incident Friday afternoon in Downtown North Bay.

Police say officers saw a young male threaten a male victim and then take his backpack.

He was arrested at the scene.
