Provincial test results are in for the four local school boards.

The Education Quality and Accountability Office report shows the percentage of students at or above the provincial standard in Grades 3 and 6 reading, writing and math at three local boards were all below the provincial average.

They include the Near North District School Board, the local French Catholic and French Public Boards.

Grade 6 reading results at the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic board were right at the provincial mark, while all other areas were below.

Meantime, both the applied and academic grade 9 math marks were above the provincial average when it comes to the percentage of students at or above the provincial standard at the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District Board.

At the local French Catholic board, Academic was above the provincial mark, but Applied was below.

The results were below the provincial average at both the Near North District School Board and the local French Public Board.

In terms of the Secondary School Literacy Test, success rates for first-time eligible students at the Near North Board, the French Catholic and French Public Boards were all below the provincial average, but higher than last year’s board result.

At the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic board, the success rate on par with last year’s board result and above the provincial average.
