The city, the Jack Garland Airport and the local aerospace industry are all being showcased to airport and aviation professionals from across Ontario and Canada this week.

The 31st annual Airport Management Council of Ontario convention is underway, and runs through Wednesday.

Assocation co-ordinator Laura McNeice says this year’s theme is “Partnering for Growth” to grow airports and business.

She says they have sessions on partnering with communities, marketing partnerships and working with peers to help each other.

Over 130 people are here for the convention.

Events include a trade show with 32 booths along with tours of the airport, the Canadore College School of Aviation Technology and faciilties at CFB North Bay.

The last time North Bay hosted the event was 2006.
