The home ice woes continue for the North Bay Battalion after a 3-1 loss to the Owen Sound Attack last night (Thursday).

Despite the three losses at Memorial Gardens so far this season, head coach Stan Butler says it’s not time to hit the panic button.

He says the players need to decide how hard they want to work to be successful.

Daniil Vertiy scored the lone North Bay goal.

Of note, a controversial goal ended up being the winner for Owen Sound.

An Attack forward shot the puck on goal and plunged into Troops goaltender, Brent Moran, knocking the net off and putting the puck in at the same time.

The play was reviewed twice with the goal standing after officials said the puck went in of a Battalion player.

Next up, the Battalion travel to Sault Ste Marie tomorrow night (Saturday).
