It’s a chance to experience the magic of Christmas and take part in a live auction for a decorated Christmas Tree.

The Empire Festival of Trees goes tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.

The Empire’s Sales Director Nicole Bamford says local businesses and groups sponsor the trees and then decorate them.

She says there are 17 trees involved and the auction goes Saturday.

“Citizens of North Bay can come and bid on the trees that they fell in love with and bring them home. All the money raised is going to support seniors programs at the North Bay Regional Health Centre,” Bamford said.

There’s a public viewing tomorrow from noon until 8 pm, then again from 1 to 4 pm Saturday.

That will be followed by entertainment and refreshments, then the auction at 6 pm.

More entertainment rounds out the event from 7-9 pm.
