Make is 17 wins in a row for the Powassan Voodoos.

Andy Baker paced the Voodoos attack with two goals in a 7-3 win in Iroquois Falls yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

Five other Powassan players scored in the win, including Gabriel Rheault, Kyle Challis, Gary Mantz, Tyson Gilmour and Cade Herd.

The Voodoos are back on the road next weekend for three games in three days, starting Friday in Kirkland Lake.

 

The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers rebounded from Saturday’s loss to the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves with a 7-1 win yesterday afternoon at Memorial Gardens.

Ryan Mills lead the Trappers with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Five other players added singles.

 

North Bay snowboarder Tyler Nicholson was 4th in a Big Air event at the venue for the 2018 Olympics in Korea.

He was one of five Canadians to make the top 10.

Big Air has been added as an Olympic Sport and will make it’s debut at the 2018 Winter Games.

 

In OUA volleyball, both Nipissing Lakers teams wrapped up the first semester schedule with wins yesterday.

The women won 3-2 over Queens while the men won 3-0.

Both Nipissing teams defeated RMC on Saturday.
