The North Bay Battalion have acquired a new goaltender ahead of tonight’s (Wednesday’s) contest with the Oshawa Generals.

Head Coach Stan Butler says 5’9” Mississauga Chargers goaltender, Julien Sime will make his debut for the Troops.

Butler says assistant coach Adam Dennis trusts the kids play in the OJHL can translate to helping the team win in the OHL.

Sime’s numbers aren’t sparkling in the OJHL with a 4-14-1 record, a 3.85 GAA, and a save percentage of .906 but Butler says Dennis has a great track record in this league and scouts believe he can help.

Sime was drafted by the Kitchener Rangers, but has since been taken off their protected list.

Both Brent Moran and Matt Woroniuk are out with injuries.

Woroniuk has missed the last two games since being run into last week while Moran left Sunday’s game in Erie with a right shoulder injury.

Butler says they could be out until after Christmas.

Catch the North Bay Battalion and Oshawa Generals on Country 600 CKAT tonight, broadcast time is 6:55 pm.
