Despite a hard fought effort, the North Bay Battalion lost another home game, 5-2 to the Oshawa Generals last night (Wednesday).

Head Coach Stan Butler says you couldn’t fault new goaltender, Julian Sime for the loss, saying he gave them a chance to win.

Sime made 30 saves in his first OHL game.

Meantime, Butler says despite the loss it was one of their better home games, saying their compete level was pretty good against the top team in the conference.

Kyle Potts and Steve Harland scored in the loss.

Forward Jacob Ball left the game with an upper body injury after being hit from behind in the third periods.

The Troops are back in action tomorrow night in Sudbury.
