The Ontario Northland Christmas Train begins it’s northeastern tour tonight (Sunday) in North Bay.

The freight train is decked out with holiday decorations and lights, visiting communities that continue to support Ontario Northland.

There are a dozen stops this year including:

Friday , Dec 9 Swastika – Parking Lot of the Swastika Station 6:00 pm

Monday, Dec 12 Kapuskasing – Special Events Centre 6:00 pm

Meantime, Callander is getting ready for the holidays with an event tonight (Sunday).

The annual “Callander Lights Up Christmas” event starts at 5 pm at Centennial Park and includes hot chocolate and treats, horse drawn wagon rides and a special visit from Santa.

Mayor Hec Lavigne will officially light the park at 5:30 pm with a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” by Santa.
