A few municipal properties in West Nipissing are being designated smoke-free as of January 1st, 2017.

They include the entire Municipal Office property and West Nipissing Community and Recreation Centre, both in Sturgeon Falls.

The Verner Arena property is also being designated smoke-free.

There will be designated smoking areas.

Officials say the bylaw will be strictly enforced starting on January 1st.
