An incident around 3:45 this morning (Friday) has led to charges for a 32 year old city man, including forcible entry, assault and uttering death threats.

It’s alleged that a man, in an apparent intoxicated state knocked on the door of a North Bay residence and yelled loudly for help.

Police say when the people inside responded the man then pushed his way in to the residence and assaulted and threatened a male occupant.

The male victim was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Police also say the victims and accused were previously unknown to each other.
