A unique event involving locked out Children’s Aid Society workers today (Friday).

The national and provincial CUPE presidents are joining the members, not on the picket line, but on the ice at Pete Palangio Arena.

They’re lacing up the skates and playing a short game of hockey in an event called “Playing for a Fair Deal.”

The workers were locked out December 23rd.

There’s also a family and friends skate and they’re collecting non-perishable food donations for the North Bay Food Bank.
