A 36 year old city man is facing a robbery charge and four theft under counts after recent incidents.

North Bay Police say a man took a piggy bank off the counter of a local restaurant just before 6 o’clock last night (Wednesday).

The female owner of the restaurant chased the man towards Seventh Avenue where she grabbed his coat.

But, police say the accused pushed the owner to the ground and fled the area.

He was arrested on Cassells Street.

It’s further alleged that early Monday morning lottery tickets were removed from the front counter of four convenience stores without being paid for.

At the fourth store, police say the man played one of the stolen scratch tickets in front of the cashier, won $50 and redeemed the ticket, then took a remote control drone and left without paying.
