The North Bay Battalion are back on home ice this afternoon (Sunday) after a 5-3 loss in Peterborough last night.

Justin Brazeau, Rhys Forhan and Brett McKenzie put the Troops up 3-0 through two periods, but the Petes scored five times in the third to win the game.

Steven Lorentz scored four of Peterborough’s goals.

North Bay entertains Saginaw this afternoon.

In the NOJHL, the Powassan Voodoos won 2-1 over the Timmins Rock last night.

Dayton Murray scored both goals for the Voodoos.

 

The North Bay Midget AAA Trappers wrapped up play at a tournament in Peterborough on Saturday.

They shutout Niagara 4-0 but then lost 4-0 to Markham to finish with 3 wins and 1 loss in round robin play.

Despite the impressive record it wasn’t enough to advance.

 

In OUA hockey, both Nipissing teams lost on Saturday.

The men dropped a 5-2 decision to McGill in Montreal while the women lost 2-1 on home ice to Toronto.

In volleyball, the Nipissing men won 3-0 over Ryerson while the women lost 3-1.

 

Both Canadore Panthers volleyball teams were in action Saturday, playing Loyalist.

The Canadore men won 3-1 while the women lost 3-0.

In OCAA men’s basketball, the Panthers lost 83-82 to Seneca.
